THE NEW ORLEANS PREACHERS | ||
In 1965, this band made in Lorraine (France) was born in two quavers
and three commas. Throughout the years, the New Orleans Preachers have always been renewing their enthusiasm and their members around a dynamic initiator and drummer, Jean-Claude Maire and : Gilles Pernet, Etienne Florentin et Jean-Pierre Thomas. This is a perfect example of a lively and skilled Jazz, that gives the opportunity for new talents to emerge. In more than 40 years, this band succeeded in developping a rich and successfull repertory and performing with famous solists such as : - Bill Coleman - Benny Waters - Nelson Williams - Harold Singer - Mickey Baker - Sam Woodyard - Sun Ra - Memphis Slim - Champion Jack Dupree - Jean-Claude Naude - Irakli de Davrichewy - Médéric Collignon - Marcel Zanini - Daniel Barda - Gérard Badini ... and many others. |
